Whatfix among the top 35 percent of all companies worldwide in sustainability excellence
Whatfix, the global leader among digital adoption platforms (DAP), today announced being awarded a Bronze medal from EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. Whatfix secured a Bronze medal from EcoVadis, placing it among the top 35% of firms globally to have achieved the sustainability milestone.
EcoVadis partners with more than 100,000 companies in over 175 countries and 200 industries annually to collaborate on sustainability with a common platform, a universal scorecard, benchmarks, and performance improvement tools. The assessment methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000, covering 220+ spending categories and 180+ countries. The Sustainability Scorecard illustrates performance across 21 indicators in four themes: environmental factors, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Key highlights of Whatfix’s achievement include:
- Exceptional Progress: Through collaborative efforts, the company completed over 100 action points this year, representing a remarkable 215% increase from the previous year.
- Comprehensive Approach: Whatfix drafted and refined over 60 documents, training materials, reports, policies, KPIs, and more, resulting in a significant 40% year-on-year increase in its EcoVadis score.
- Record-Breaking Time: The company achieved this milestone in just four months, showcasing its dedication and agility in addressing sustainability challenges head-on.
- Sustainability as a Core Focus: We worked with the stakeholders across the organization to imbibe sustainability in its core operations, through a diligent focus on resource optimization, stakeholder awareness, training, and proactive actions implemented through necessary policies and KPIs to ensure close monitoring and implementation of our sustainability initiatives.
“This recognition is a testament to our collective efforts in integrating sustainability practices into our operations and fostering a culture of responsibility throughout the company. As an organization grows, so should its responsibility towards our environment,” said Khadim Batti, CEO and Co-founder of Whatfix. “ It underscores our dedication to the environment and ongoing commitment to sustainability, highlighting our relentless efforts to accurately measure and proactively improve our environmental footprint, ensuring a positive impact for years to come.”
In addition to the EcoVadis Rating, Whatfix got certified by UNGC for its sustainability efforts and also completed its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory for Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions. Scope 1 emissions are the direct result of the company’s operations, while Scope 2 emissions are indirect, emerging from the acquisition of power, steam, heat, and cooling. Scope 3 emissions are activities associated with assets not directly owned or managed by the company but indirectly influenced within its value chain.
